AMC — Gauge Management
AMC — Gauge Management — inspection planning and traceability
AMC organises gauge inspections, tracks movements between locations, and records use in production. Teams can consult gauge records, the history of inspection documents, and the relationship between a gauge and the parts measured with it.
Monthly inspection plans
An inspection interval, expressed in months, is defined for each gauge. The application uses it to generate the monthly inspection plan. Following calibration, it generates reports according to the inspection result and maintains the certificate history, providing a shared reference for gauge monitoring.
Current location and movement history
Record transfers between points of use, inspection locations, stores, and other locations. Movement history can be displayed to identify where a gauge is located and where it was previously used or stored. These records support coordination of activities that use the same gauges.
Linking gauges to inspected parts
Production records can include the order, operation number, work centre, product serial number, and unique gauge identifier. Recording can be simplified using a barcode scanner near the work centre. If a nonconformity is traced to a faulty gauge, the parts measured with that gauge can be identified.
Team working and extensive gauge records
The application supports multiple users with authorised access to functions. It can manage tens of thousands of gauges and can be extended with new functionality. Inspection, location, and usage information is brought together to track gauges throughout company operations.
