Dimensional Inspection
Dimensional inspection, from specified values to the inspection report
Organise measurements by order and serial number, using the specified values for each product, drawing and revision. The solution supports inspectors and supervisors through data entry, validation and reporting, with a clear link between the part, dimensional requirements and inspection results.
Consistent management of nominal values and tolerances
Define the measurement type, unit, nominal value and minimum and maximum tolerances for each combination of part number, drawing number and drawing revision. Values can be copied between revisions and may be changed only if no inspection report exists. Where integration with the customer’s ERP is possible, the part number and description can be retrieved from the production order.
Checked measurements and identified nonconformities
The inspector enters serial numbers and measured values, and the application automatically checks compliance with tolerances wherever possible. Out-of-limit values cannot be saved without an NCR number. If the specified values are missing, the workflow directs the user to define them.
Separate reports before and after welding
Pre Cladding and Final reports are managed separately, with Final as the default. Dimensions are not imported automatically from the previous report. The same part cannot be added to two reports of the same type, and the existence of a Pre Cladding report on the order is flagged when a Final report is added. The printed Pre Cladding document has a specific identifier.
Individual serial numbers and ranges in a shared record
Enter serial numbers individually or using the ranges supported by the application. The notation 310:450 creates two columns, FROM 310 and TO 450, which are retained in the printed report. Measurements can be found by order, part number, drawing number and product description.
Controlled editing and signed documentation
Closing an inspection locks the record against editing; unlocking is restricted to supervisors or users with special access. Authorised access, records of creation and last save, and locking of records being edited support simultaneous use. The report includes the signature of the inspector logged in at the time of printing.
